DMS w/ Scanners
I am currently trying to create a lightweight DMS for our small business, and have been looking at Leto. I just have a few questions, mainly because we have quite the odd set of requirements for our dms.

Currently, we have a copier/scanner. This copier has the the ability to scan to a folder structure using its windows program. The copier creates metadata, in the form of an XML file, that can link to other DMS systems. It also creates it's own folder structure, depending on what we name it:

Account: <User Input from Copier>
Type: <User Input from Copier>
Year: <User Input from Copier>
Metadata 1: <User Input from Copier>
Metadata 2: <User Input from Copier>
so on and so forth...

So, the copier will create the folders ~./Account/Type/Year/<random_string>.pdf

Then, based on what was typed in, create an XML file with the above user input as metadata.

My question is this:

Can letodms import XML metadata, as well as the scanned files?

Where would one start?

Basically, running a windows virtual machine to host the scan software that creates the folder structure. Sharing that between the windowsVM and ubuntu 11.04. LetoDMS on Ubuntu sees the files being created.

LetoDMS obviously cannot import XML data out of the box, but it is quite simple to write a php script that reads your data and imports it into LetoDMS. I've done that for a customer who just provided a long list of metadata and a bunch of files.
